KITESURFING

La Ventana, a small fishing village discovered by windsurfers 15 years ago is situated on the Sea of Cortez just 30 minutes southeast of La Paz. 

 

La Ventana has become the preferred national kiteboarding spot thanks to its steady winds from October to March and to its L-shape sandy beach with side shore winds offering many spots to launch and very safe to ride.

 

You can ride long down winds and at the end catch the beach, thus not ending up at open sea. La Ventana offers intense ocean blue scenery and the contrast of arid desert landscapes, you will be charmed by the amazing views of the bay, the incredible colours and for sure the friendly locals. Throughout December and January, La Ventana hosts a few international kiteboarding competitions, clinics and which generates a great atmosphere.
