ABOUT THE MANAGERS
The full story...
Ditte was born in a little town in Denmark called Frederikssund. Ditte, the youngest and most restless of 3 girls, was the only one with the curiosity and drive to go and experience life abroad.
Service came naturally to her and she was educated in the hospitality industry where she achieved a degree in Service & Hotel Management in Copenhagen Hospitality School.
After graduating and working in the hotel industry for a few years, she then decided to broaden her horizons and experience with travel where she eventually learnt and started a new career and adventure in the luxury mega-yacht industry where she was a respectable chief stewardess, responsible for the demands of high profile owners and guests onboard.
Federico, the oldest of 5 siblings, grew up in Acapulco, Mexico, where he enjoyed life at the seaside, swam before he walked and was constantly exposed to a wide range of water-related activities by, in and on the sea.
He was always happiest when near the ocean which naturally led his path to his career.
Having completed courses in the United Kingdom Sailing Academy, his professional life at sea on super yachts started as a watersports instructor for a high profile family, soon being promoted to deck officer and eventually working his way up the ranks to Captain. Responsible of the management, operation and up-keeping of smaller multi-million euro yachts whilst always providing top end recreational services to high profile guests from all over the world.
Ditte & Federico, with their joint background as professional crew on luxury super yachts, brought together almost 2
decades of intense work experience in a rewarding industry, where high standards and the expectation of impeccable service and hospitality are far higher than in any comparable prestige service sector.
While on this path and in their individual professional careers, they eventually caught sight of each other whilst they worked on yachts owned by the same Russian family and were moored next to each other in Ibiza and The French Riviera. Further international cruising ensued after their initial encounters and eventually their paths crossed again in the charming port of Antibes, where Federico had been based for many years and which became home for both until they decided to set sail again, though this time finally working together and experiencing new destinations, sceneries and cultures all over the Mediterranean and Caribbean before deciding to end a long career at sea and pursue their common dreams and goals.
From the start, they discovered that they shared the same joy and passion, not only for the sea lifestyle, but also for the hospitality and service industry, as they also shared the common dream of a stable lifestyle back on dry land.
This dream soon became the main subject of long days of planning the creation of a simple, but charming and cosy development close to the sea where they could further apply all their professional knowledge and experience and to receive international guests and provide them not necessarily with luxury, but with the benefits derived from years of experience and how Fede & Ditte perceive comfort and specially that rare and wonderful feeling of being cosy whilst away from home.
